Seven Forms

We acknowledge the Noongar people of the Whadjuk Nation and the Traditional Owners of the Yamatji Nation—the Amangu, Badimia, Hutt River, Mullewa Wadjari, Naaguja, Nhanda, Nhanhagardi, Wajarri, Wattandee, Widi Mob and Wilunyu peoples. Together they are the Traditional Custodians and First Peoples of the lands on which we live and create. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

About.

Seven Forms is an ongoing series of exhibitions that brings together seven accomplished Perth-based artists to engage critically with Western Australian regional communities in transition.

Through extensive site-based research, the collective explores the complex intersections of energy, ecology, and culture as these regions navigate pathways toward sustainable futures.

Each exhibition responds to a specific locality—beginning with Collie in 2022 and continuing to Geraldton in 2026—with artists creating new work that visualises the unique landscapes, histories, and environmental challenges of each place.

The artists employ diverse practices including printmaking, ceramics and photography to examine themes from renewable energy to rewilding and marine conservation.

Complemented by robust public programs including artist talks, workshops, and community engagement initiatives, Seven Forms creates meaningful dialogue between contemporary art practice and regional communities facing the urgent realities of climate change and economic transformation.
